Be Vigilant

Police are reminding people to be vigilant if they are approached directly by workmen offering to carry out work on their properties. 

This comes after two reports were made to police yesterday, Wednesday 26th November, of roofers approaching elderly people and offering to carry out work in Foggy Furze and Hart Village.

Whilst any offer of work may be genuine, it’s always a good idea to ask a family member of a neighbour for advice before agreeing to any work. A genuine builder wouldn’t be offended if you declined or asked for time to discuss with family.
